Project of the new furnace line

The upcoming project has advanced to the next stage of the preparatory phase. We have received approval from the relevant state authorities for its implementation. During the decision-making process, expert assessments were conducted in full compliance with all applicable legal requirements and the guidelines of the professional bodies of the Slovak Republic's state administration.

One of our main strategic goals is to increase production productivity and to maintain the price level of our products at an affordable level for our customers even in times of enormous increase in energy inputs. Moreover, our new project that is to enable clinker production for the separate production of cements with a large volume of heat generated at the same time, aims to support this goal. This will replace gas in the zeolite drying and result in energy savings and reduction of the carbon footprint of zeolite products.

The energy crisis has shown the need to address the fuel base and this project allows diversification of energy sources for heat generation. At the same time, the project allows us to selectively use the extracted zeolite for production of environmentally friendly Pozzolana cements with a high activity index and to further improve quality of the company zeolite products. This effect allows the natural wealth of our zeolite quarry to be fully exploited. 

Key information on new technology

• Production capacity – 495 t/day of clinker production
• Total clinker production per year (assuming 310 days of operation) – 153,450 t/year
• Use of state-of-the-art fabric filters
• The most modern and ecological way of grinding using a vertical mill with minimum noise emission
• All drives will be isolated by means of a jacketed enclosure

In the future, the installed technology will enable gradual replacement of fossil fuels with green fuels based on hydrogen, wooden chips, ethanol, methanol or a combination of these in order to reduce the carbon footprint as much as possible.
